As The Lords Club prepares to launch our new Sherpa Gilet, we’re taking a moment to look back at the fascinating history of the Sherpa material — a fabric that combines rugged mountain heritage with timeless British country style.

Originally inspired by the traditional wool garments worn by the Sherpa people of Nepal, Sherpa fabric was developed in the mid-20th century as a soft, synthetic alternative to shearling.
